Question by Donna C: what are the signs of stress in aquarium fish? i was told that when a aquarium fish sets still and wiggles it's tail that is a sign of stress is that true? Best answer:

maybe.... the fish either stay on the top or bottom of the tank... staying in one place... hiding.. and rapid breathing... do a 50% water change to you aquarium when this happens.. It's usually due to bad water quality.
