Is Saltwater or Freshwater better to maintain for starters of a home aquarium?

Question by Alexis: Is Saltwater or Freshwater better to maintain for starters of a home aquarium? I am purchasing a wall aquarium and because it is flat 17 inches long and 69 inches wide it holds up to 10.5 gallons? I do not know a thing about fish. Should I buy saltwater or freshwater? which will live longer and be easier to maintain? Best answer:

freshwater is far easier and less costly than saltwater. 10.5 gallons isn't very much water, you will only be able to keep a few f
