Can I add saltwater fish to a freshwater aquarium?

Question by vietnammer: Can I add saltwater fish to a freshwater aquarium? I have a freshwater aquarium with 1 tsp added aquarium salt for freshwater fish. My school is giving away fish that is in a saltwater aquarium. Is it ok if I add those fish to my aquarium? Best answer:

id say no. saltwater fish will probably need a higher concentration of salt than your freshwater fish can tolerate
