What kind of fish, snails, frogs, etc can you keep with a betta?
Question by Elizabeth Bullock: What kind of fish, snails, frogs, etc can you keep with a betta? I've had this betta fish for about a year now. I feel really terrible because he just doesn't seem happy. I'd like to upgrade his tank to something a little bigger and with a filter, and maybe add a ghost shrimp or a frog or another fish he'd be good with. I've seen a few people on the Petsmart reviews for other tanks say that their betta does great with other kinda of aquatic life. What would you recommend? also, what tank would you recommend? Best a

Fluval 405 canister filter, am i suppose to keep it running the whole day?
Question by : Fluval 405 canister filter, am i suppose to keep it running the whole day? it is my first time with canister filters and i've been suing power filters since i kept aquarium pets. Since the canister filter is strong, do i keep it running the whole day/night? i do that with my power filter but im not sure if i'm suppose to stop it and let it rest in case of it over heating or am i suppose to leave it on? They don't overheat and you only turn it off for cleaning
